Group Projects

The Summer Youth Leadership Program is not just fun and games. Not only must each of the participants complete an individual project, but they must also complete and present a larger group project in which they will work with others in the same interest. The group effort provides a chance for all of the members to exercise their leadership qualities and cooperative skills. Below are links to projects which were done by the participants of the 2005 program.

Article - A reflection of their experience in this wonderful program and gives reasons why people should join.

Brochure - To give information on different stereotypes because as young leaders, we need to model behavior we wish to see in the world. As leaders, it is our duty to bring awareness to the false stereotypes and inspire others to change their perceptions.

Cookbook - Endless searches through cookbooks and on the internet looking for recipes for delicious food all of us can enjoy and make. Designing this book filled with delicious food was hard work, so make something and enjoy!!!

Media - Future movie stars film "The Real World Chinatown Seattle" which is about fighting the stereotypes in everyday life. Each person has a characteristic that breaks the stereotype, and shows how we as a community can overcome them.

Yearbook - Six awesome people with brilliant minds come together to a yearbook with the guidance from Garret Zhang. Those six awesome people are Albert, Chris, John, Jocelyn, Joanne, and Ronni! They take numerous pictures and make them into collages for everybody to enjoy.
