Vietnamese New Year celebrated with mayor

Mayor Murray enjoys the lion dancing.

Mayor Murray attended the 2014 Vietnamese New Year Celebration at the Jumbo Seafood Restaurant in Seattle, hosted by the Vietnamese American Community of Washington State on Feb. 15.

The program featured musical entertainment, traditional dragon dance, and an incense offering ritual. After remarks by the mayor, he was presented with a sacred lily meant to bring him good luck throughout his time in office. (end)
