Get your small business certified Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises is launching a statewide “Get Certified” campaign intended to help more women- and minority-owned businesses win contracts with state and local governments.

The campaign will host educational workshops for small diverse businesses on the benefits of certification.

Some of the “Get Certified” events will be held at the following locations:

Jan. 21
Olympia — The Olympia Center room #208, 222 Columbia St. N.W., Olympia, 10 a.m.
Jan. 22:
Everett — Everett Public Library activities room, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett, 1 p.m.

Jan. 23
Shoreline — Shoreline Library large conference room, 345 N.E. 175th St., Shoreline, 10 a.m.
Central Seattle — Beacon Hill Library meeting room, 2821 Beacon Ave. S., Seattle, 1 p.m.
Tacoma — George Swasey Library Swasey meeting room, 7001 6th Ave., Tacoma, 2 p.m.
Southwest Seattle — High Point Library meeting room, 3411 S.W. Raymond St., Seattle, 4 p.m.

Jan. 24
Kent — Kent Library small conference room, 212 2nd Ave. N., Kent, 10 a.m.
Bellevue — Bellevue Library meeting room #1, 1111 110th Ave. N.E., Bellevue, 10 a.m.

On Jan. 24, a reception will be held at 6 p.m. at the Emerald Queen Casino I-5 Bridge Nightclub, 2024 E. 29th St., Tacoma, to connect small minority and women-owned businesses with contractors, procurement officers, and state officials.
