About 400 guests enjoyed music, food, and dancing at the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods 25th Anniversary Celebration at MOHAI Museum in Seattle on Oct. 23, including the mayor, city council members, representatives from various City of Seattle departments, and citizens of Seattle. The celebration honored friends, colleagues, and volunteers for their dedication to making positive contributions to their communities and involving more of Seattle’s underrepresented residents, including communities of color and immigrants. The 13 neighborhood districts comprise Ballard, central, Delridge neighborhoods, downtown Seattle, east, greater Duwamish, Lake Union, Magnolia/ Queen Anne, north, northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest.
