Wing Luke Museum honors Liao couple for philanthropy

The Wing Luke museum honored Dr. Paul B. Liao and his wife Mei-Yea on Aug. 2 for his philanthropic efforts on behalf of the museum.

In 2012, the internationally recognized engineer and his wife donated over $25,000 to the Wing Luke museum.

Liao has also received the outstanding alumni award from the Nation Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, the distinguished fellow award from Oklahoma State University, and the laureate award from the University of Washington. Liao also supports the Virginia Mason Surgical Center and the Seattle Chinese Nursing Home.

Liao earned his bachelor’s in civil and sanitary engineering from Nationa Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, his master’s at Oklahoma State, and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. (end)
