Vietnamese American My Tam Nguyen joined Gov. Jay Inslee’s staff as a new media manager the week of May 13.

A Vietnamese immigrant who has lived in Washington for 21 years, Nguyen is a graduate from the University of Washington, and involved with Leadership Tomorrow and the Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation.

Nguyen is also currently a fellow for the Institute for a Democratic Future and serves on multiple boards of directors. She has previously worked for the City of Seattle Department of Planning and Development in community engagement and social media. (end)
