UW Bothell names new School of Business dean

Sandeep Krishnamurthy

Sandeep Krishnamurthy will be named the Dean of the University of Washington Bothell School of Business, effective March 16. Krishnamurthy currently heads the University of Washington Bothell School of Business as its director. The UW Bothell School of Business supports 750 undergraduate and 125 MBA students, as well as roughly 30 full-time faculty members in Bothell and Bellevue.

Under Krishnamurthy’s administration, UW Bothell’s business program achieved independent accreditation with The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), established the UW Bothell Eastside Leadership Center in Bellevue, developed a nationally ranked and award-winning Leadership MBA program, and launched a fee-based undergraduate program in Bellevue.

Krishnamurthy earned the rank of professor in August 2009. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1996 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI in India. He attended the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Bombay, where he obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering in 1988. (end)
