The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle has named Nate Miles of Eli Lilly and Company as chair of its Board of Directors for 2013. He was unanimously elected chair for the 2-year leadership term.

“The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle has weathered many storms since it was founded in 1929,” Miles said. “With a new leadership team and a renewed commitment to fiscal integrity, the Urban League will continue to empower, enable, and assist African Americans, other people of color, and disadvantaged individuals.”

As one of Seattle’s oldest not-for-profit organizations, the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle is committed to activism and community work in education, employment, health, and housing. (end)
