Tuck Eng celebration raises funds for Chinatown gate

Eng with family and friends at the celebration

Tuck Eng celebrated his 79th birthday on Oct. 7, 2012 at the Maple Greens Golf Club with over 130 relatives, close friends, and associates attending.

In addition to the birthday celebration, the event was also dedicated to supporting the maintenance of the Historic Chinatown Gate Foundation. Gate expenses run slightly over $9,000 annually, including the City of Seattle Street Permit annual fee, liability insurance, electricity, and maintenance.

The celebration raised over $4,000. Eng expresses many thanks to everyone, including the Boeing Employee and Retiree Gift Matching Program for their great support of the Gate. (end)
