The Northwest Asian Weekly’s 30th annual anniversary gala will feature a fashion contest held in secret throughout the duration of the event, which takes place Oct. 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dispersed in the crowd will be a number of undercover judges ranking participants. The winners will be announced at the end of the event and will take home a 30-year anniversary plaque. In addition, they will also be featured in a future edition of the Northwest Asian Weekly. Both women and men are invited to compete. Interested participants may wear culturally-inspired costumes, such as Vietnamese ao dai, Japanese kimono, Korean hanbok, Chinese hanfu, or any other creative and interesting outfits. (end)
