Redmond PD arrests ‘Movie Bandits’

The Redmond Police Department arrested the Movie Bandits, a male–female crime duo from Bothell, on Aug. 1, ending their months-long crime spree. The Movie Bandits have been active since March and are suspects in at least 27 residential burglaries, four commercial burglaries, 17 vehicle prowls, four attempted burglaries, eight stolen vehicles, and one case of fraud. Their MO involved breaking into vehicles parked in public places, stealing vehicle registrations along with other valuables, and burglarizing the unoccupied residences of the vehicle owners. The bandits were finally captured with the combined efforts of the Bellevue, Brier, Edmonds, Everett, Kirkland, Marysville, Medina, Mountlake Terrace, Mount Vernon, Mukilteo, Shoreline, and Wenatchee Police departments, and the Snohomish and King County sheriffs.
