Lum’s entry helped her win a half-tuition scholarship to study fashion design and fashion marketing and merchandising and fashion retail management at the Art Institute of Portland. For her entry, Lum submitted a Victorian-inspired evening gown, which, made of lightweight microfiber taffeta, also evokes an innovative urban flair. In addition to the tuition scholarship, Lum will receive a trip to New York City to visit the staff at Seventeen Magazine, a $500 shopping spree at DKNY, and a $500 gift card. (end)
