Ming’s Asian Gallery features erotic and historical Asian art

Sex is no less important in Asia than elsewhere. It’s theme in art provides a unique bridge to cultural understanding through biological, political, religious, and social links.

Through Jan. 14, 2012, Ming’s Asian Gallery will be featuring erotic antique woodblock prints, illustrated pillow books, ivory doctor’s dolls, silk paintings, snuff bottles, figures in porcelain and bronze, netsuke and jade carvings, and miniature ivory wedding night pictorials dating from the 18th through the 20th century.

Ming’s Asian Gallery is located at 519 6th Ave. S., Ste. 100, Seattle. Exhibition hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sundays, 12 p.m.–5 p.m.
