Northwest teen Alana Raye to release single by Jan. 1

Alana Raye, 17, is releasing her new single by Jan. 1, which will be followed by her debut EP next spring. Singer-songwriter Raye is a Seattle-born artist who now lives in Portland, Ore.

Born to Thai/Laotian and Filipino parents in Seattle, Raye has performed in intimate café concerts and in front of audiences of 20,000+ at county fairs and Pista Sa Nayon Festival in Seattle. She’s taken the stage at Haiti Relief fundraisers, and made a guest appearance on the Child United Charity benefit hosted by the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year, Efren Pena-Florida, in Seattle, WA. Prior to that, she opened for an International Mega Star Sharon Cuneta with Pops Fernandez also in Seattle.

Alana Raye recently posted videos on Youtube of her singing cover songs ranging from Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Foster the People, The Band Perry, to Bruno Mars.

She is currently in the studio working on recording more original songs. Alana Raye has written and produced several songs which are also available on iTunes. “The songs I write reflects the personal experiences I was going through at the time” says Raye whenever she’s asked what inspires her when writing songs. “I’m growing up as a person and an artist!” says Raye.
