Aug. 27: Sheng-Yu Foundation awards $226,000 in grants to Seattle-area nonprofits

At an awards ceremony at Meydenbauer Center, Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation awarded $226,000 in grants to 10 nonprofit organizations to improve health and education.

The four recipients of education grants were 826 Seattle, Powerful Schools, Technology Access Foundation, and The College Access Project.

The six healthcare grant recipients were HealthPoint, International Community Health Services, Jubilee Reach Center, Neighborcare Health, PATH, and Smile Partners.

About 2,000 people attended the ceremony. (end)
