Kollaboration Seattle Film Festival looking for API talent in filmmaking for its contest

Kollaboration Seattle Film Festival is seeking filmmakers of different backgrounds and expertise in the Northwest region to create a short film featuring Asian American talents onscreen.

As in the “48 Hour Film Project,” competitors will be given a character, a prop, a line, and will create a seven-minute short film within three weeks’ time.

The top 10 finalists will have the opportunity to see their films on the big screen at the Kollaboration Seattle Film Festival on Sept. 14, at AMC Pacific Place in downtown Seattle.

The winner will receive an authentic copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium and also have their film screened at Kollaboration Seattle’s main show on Oct. 15, at the Auburn Performing Arts Center.

Participating teams must have at least one member attend the Kickoff Event at the Shoreline KSLS Library on Aug. 14, at 3 p.m., to be eligible to compete. All forms must be handed in by the end of the meeting. Competitors will then have until Sept. 4 to submit their film. The top 10 finalists will be announced on Sept. 7, and the final winner will be chosen at the Kollaboration Seattle Film Festival.

Application fees for Kollaboration Seattle Film Festival are $75 per team and $100 for late registrations.

Application forms, official rules, and regulations can all be found at kollaborationseattle.wordpress.com/ksff. ♦
