May 28: Frederica Mackert crowned 2011 Japanese queen

Frederica Miako Mackert

The Seattle Japanese Queen Scholarship Organization crowned Frederica Miako Mackert as its 2011 queen at the 52nd annual scholarship celebration at Meydenbauer Center. Mackert also carries the title of Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival Queen.   

Additionally, Mackert was selected Miss Tomodachi, or Miss Congeniality.

The other 2011 participants include first princess Erika Lynn Sakamoto Nicks and princesses Kirsten Yuko Lee and Lauren Kylie Suguro. ♦
