Oct. 5: Five South Seattle CC students earn APIASF/Walmart Foundation scholarships

South Seattle Community College had five of its students earn the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF)/Walmart Foundation Scholarship. South Seattle is just one of three institutions offered these one-time, $2,500 scholarships for full-time, first-year Asian and Pacific Islander American community college students.

Scholarships were awarded to Kim Hanh-Lam, from Vho Thi Sau High School in Vietnam, Joan Kim, from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Wash., Inoke Maka, from James Campbell High School in Hawaii, Fa’atau’oloa Peseta, from Sammamish High School in Redmond, and Son Truong, from Cam Ranh High School in Vietnam. ♦
