Outstanding grad: Melanie Ma

Melanie Ma

Melanie Ma graduated from Franklin High School as its valedictorian.  She was the treasurer for the school’s National Honor Society chapter, president of the Key Club, and vice president of the Asian Student Association.

She is also the first lieutenant of the Seattle Chinese Girl Drill Team, and she played basketball at the Seattle Chinese Athletic Association (SCAA).

Ma was one of the recipients of the Seattle International District Rotary Club Scholarship and the Phil Mar Memorial Scholarship. She was also awarded the Washington State Principal Award and Washington Athletic 101 Club Award. She is attending the University of Washington. ♦
