U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will not accept cash payment at domestic offices and U.S. territories, including U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam starting Oct. 1.
While the change will help to reduce the department’s operating costs, processing of immigration applications will not be affected, according to a USCIS press release. Customers may pay by check, money order, or credit card. ♦
