Pioneer Square/International District Community Preservation and Development Authority (PSIDCPDA) urges voters to bring 2ESHB 2912 to the Senate floor for a vote and amend it to include dedicated funding for community preservation and development authorities, as included in the version of the bill passed by the House.
Small businesses and residents in Pioneer Square and the International District are an important economic and cultural asset to the area surrounding our two public stadiums, which draw millions of visitors to the greater Seattle region every year.
In 2007, the State Legislature recognized the importance of the Pioneer Square and International District neighborhoods by establishing the Pioneer Square International District Community Preservation and Development Authority (PSIDCPDA).
2ESHB 2912 provides permanent funding to the PSIDCPDA, which is necessary for this agency to fulfill its mission.
PSIDCPDA urges voters to amend and vote yes on 2ESHB 2912 and help ensure that two remarkable and historic neighborhoods are preserved.
How to do it:
E-mail or call members of Senate Democratic Caucus Leadership to urge them to bring HB 2912 for a floor vote and amend it to include dedicated funding for the Pioneer Square/International District Community Preservation and Development Authority (PSIDCPDA), as the House did. Senate Democratic Caucus Leadership members include Sen. Lisa Brown, Sen. Ed Murray, Sen. Tracey Eide, and Sen. Chris Marr.
Additionally, people can contact their local state senator to send him or her the same message. ♦
