Uwajimaya will open its fourth market in Renton in late June. The new, more than 30,000-square-foot addition will anchor the Renton Shopping Center at 501 South Grady Way. It joins existing markets in Seattle, Bellevue, and Beaverton, Ore.

The market will feature a full array of Asian gifts, groceries, produce, specialty meats, seafood, and American grocery standards. It will also have a deli serving sushi and other Asian prepared foods.

“Uwajimaya has been looking for an opportunity to strategically grow its business within the greater Puget Sound marketplace, and this Renton location made a great sense for our plan. We continue to evaluate additional future store locations in order to reach closer to many of our loyal customers who supported Uwajimaya with long distance shopping trips over the years,” said President and CEO Tomoko Moriguchi Matsuno.
