Lunar Art Contest Winners

Last updated 2-19-09 at 1:11 p.m.

For Lunar New Year, many of our readers sent in their Lunar-inspired artwork for Northwest Asian Weekly’s art contest. They were all lovely, but unfortunately, only a few winners could be chosen.

We brought in outside judges who gave each artwork a numerical score based on questionnaires. The winners are ones who garnered the highest overall score from our three judges.

Thank you to all the participants! They made the Lunar New Year much more festive. An informal awards ceremony for the artists will be held to hand out prizes in Northwest Asian Weekly’s news building lobby on Saturday, March 14.

Prizes for the winners include a restaurant gift certificate, Seattle Art Museum passes, Seattle Aquarium passes, and Woodland Park Zoo passes. Every finalist will receive passes to the Space Needle. (end)
