Two fashion shows, two approaches

Oct. 1: The Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) presented a fashion show, consisting of 27 models, as part of their annual fundraising dinner. The event was called “A World of Cultures” and was held at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel. The show raised $95,000. ♦

Sept. 27: The Bunka Women’s University held a fashion show at Seattle Central Community College on Sept. 27. Nearly 50 students from Japan paid $2,500 for the chance to travel to the United States and take part in organizing the show, from designing to organizing to marketing. ♦
