Supervise and evaluate eight staff, assist employing departments with return-to-work issues, and develop claims management efficiencies. Support claims decisions, testify at hearings, and assist in the structuring of settlements for claims in litigation. Requires at least three years of Washington State workers’ compensation claims experience and the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with the ability to obtain state certification within six months. Is updating its list of qualified contractors who are interested in submitting proposals for the repair and/or weatherization of eligible low income households. Specialties include electrical, plumbing, general carpentry, roofing, energy conversation, heating, painting, mobile home roofs (metal or EPDM), sewage disposal and drainage. Contractors must be licensed to do business in the State of Washington and submit an endorsement from their insurance company naming the King County Housing Authority as “Additionally Insured.” Contractors must be approved to do lead-related work for houses containing lead based paint. Contractors are to have a minimum of three years experience in their specialty. Energy conservation contractors must be familiar with the Washington State Weatherization Specifications. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond. Proposals are solicited on a per unit basis. Most contracts are between $1,000 and $20,000 each.
