It is a rite of summer we have come to love: our annual Youth Issue. This week we bring you the words of some of the participants in the Northwest Asian Weekly Foundation’s annual Summer Youth Leadership Program. They spent three weeks getting to know each other as they visited landmarks and museum along with performing community service. Oh, yes, and they ate. They were enthusiastic about everything, not just the food.

Whether they are recounting their travel adventures or expressing some private heartbreak, we know you will find their work a refreshing change of pace. We present it with pride.
